Africa-based climate solutions shine bright at Expo Live

Spanning waste management to food security, energy to climate awareness, and carbon credits to water access, innovative climate-related solutions from Africa shone bright at Expo City Dubai last month.

With 10 grassroots organisations from across the continent invited to Dubai to present their ideas to the Expo Live Innovation Programme.

African Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (ACREST) (Cameroon)

ACREST aims to reduce poverty and improve wellbeing by promoting various renewable energy technologies across communities, building both self-reliance and economic independence. Projects include training youth to produce solar lanterns, replacing kerosene lamps and providing affordable, clean lighting to communities.
